After the release of FM08 and having seen and read about good signings and huge fees, I was wondering what are peoples worst managererial experience ie have you sold a player, who has come back to haunt you? Has a rival come in and snatched a wonderkid at the last moment?

this thought always crosses my mind when selling youngsters like torje, wijnaldum and saivet. i always think i bet there gonna become superstars now!

Well Huntelaar was my worst signing ever on FM08. I really doubt the lunatic even knows how a goal looks like!!!

I managed to sell him with 1 mil euro profit though.

And i really regret missing out on Cahais wonderful player, Milan was quicker than me .

No biggies as yet, but should have hung on to Jermaine Beckford in my first Leeds season - he scored 10 more than my own highest scorer and I had to plod through the playoffs.

And Xabi, yes they become superstars. I have Saivet but he isn't there yet. I took on Torje as a baby, and in my 2010/11 season he got me 12 goals from the wing and had the top Premiership assists. I loaned Wijnaldum for half a season and he was outstanding, but couldn't afford to buy him when he moved to Bayern.

Signing Huntlaar, worst signing I've ever made scored 10 in all competitions the season i had him, sold him on to rival (Arsenal) made about £4million profit then he has terrible season with them, but the season after becomes top scorer in the league and Europe, mad!

Another stupid thing when I was at Man Utd Been there a couple of years, asked for the transfer budget to be increased so I could sign someone, they said no, i handed in an ultimatum and they bloody sacked me!!! On last years I remember they'd give you a chance to stay on if you backed down!

my worste decision was to post a message on this forum asking what everyones highest points total in premiership was when i had 55 points out of possible 57 at the time, thinking the league was in the bag and i might be on for a record breaking season... was going to win the quadrupple ..and then lost half my team to injuries, had a scoring drought, lost in league cup final, fa cup semi, champions league quarter finals, and lost the league on last day to arsenal..and nearly ended up getting the sack..... oh and on other games... buying obafemi martins who is a comlete and utter joke of a player.

Mine was when i first played the game I sold martins and missed out on breno. but due to a corrupted game I managed to get Martins back who score 5 goals in my my 5-0 win against chelsea in the first season for newcastle. It was a fluke I believe because my squad should not have beaten them that much
