First of all, want to excuse me if i am wrong with the section, but i think here it is the best place to post it :)
www.Sportsline.com/photos Tips&Tricks A little tutorial by Zippo
First of all you have to get at least one pic to start from. (But in World Cup 2006 i didnt need even one :) )
So when you have the url like: http://images.sportsline.com/u/ap/ph...CMUN348061817_lower.jpg
Change it to:
http://images.sportsline.com/u/ap/ph...CMUN348061817_1024x768.jpg
I can say, always when u have /u/ap or /u/gettyimages, you can change the url/resolution of the pic
The images are stored for some, unidentified by me, time
So you can see, there are 2 (Or 3) numbers changing in the start (in this case - 3480, 3470, 3460 etc.), and two in the end of the pic's url (17,16,15 etc.)
You can change the numbers in the beginning, but if the link doesnt work, then you must change the numbers in the end :)
the first 2/3/4/5 etc. letters can mean
the name of the photograph, the place where the game was played or the competition
(In this case it mean - World Cup - Munnich :) )
After that is the number of the pic, then is the month and the date - "0618"
Rarely the link can be like /u/gettyimages/57625941DM064_Group_F_Brazi061813_1024x768
I think this is simple - here change 064,065,066 etc and "13" in the end
Also its easier to try this at the next day, because they upload more of the images hour/hours after the game
And some images for example (if you sort them by name, you can see which image is missing you :) ) :
With these tips and tricks i got thousands of pics only from the WC
I learn all that just from the little tutorial made by someone, that was to change from lower to 1024x768 :)
Enjoy them, hope cbs are not going to change it
ps: of course sometimes the image just doesnt exist :)
ps2: sorry for my english :)
You can try it with the Brasil-Australia game and comment it :)
