I'm starting my LLM experience in CM03-04... And I'm noticing that the clubs financial situation is critical... Is there any other way to get 'green' balances besides selling our most valuable players?... I'm finding it hard to have a positive balance...
Anyone can help?

Positive balances in LLM are like Scots Mist. You can see them, but you can't hold onto them.

The only surefire way to get money is to get promoted and/or to sell your best players.

Offer your players new contracts with less wage, if you don't give too little they will usually accept. Do this few times and your wage bill is no longer a problem. I'm playing with Woking and has reduced my wage bill to half this way.

I signed 30 years old guy and gave him 200 p/w, then i offered him new contract and he was so delighted to be with me that he didn't need any wage Yes,yes cheating, but funny

Sorry that i brought it up, but have any other of you found it too easy to play with contracts. As i think it's pretty important aspect in lower leagues. It wasn't this bad before i think.

I am playing with Woking as well and can renew all contracts at about 75-80% of the existing level. I can't imagine too many lower league players taking wage cuts from what is already something of a pittance especially for the "privilege" of staying with a non-proven manager.

That said, given that wages are substantially over budget, the "wage cut else someone has to go" argument might get them to share the pain a little more equally.

How do I do it?

Put it this way. My highest paid squad member could just afford to buy a copy of CM 03/04 each week.

Now in my day a shilling a week with a sixpence goal bonus was a kings ransom.
