Do what you like, but it is as far removed from LLM as you other post. Sign a player unseen & unscouted. You can't be serious. Would a Manager in RL sign a player unsighted & just off what other people have told him. There was one RL example when this did happen that I know of.
Result: They signed a 5" goalie from Brazil, who had never played in goals.

Do what you want, it's your game, but it an't LL in our books. Players have to be scouted before they are signed..Period, end of story.

A manager would know about players in the league who are playing well, scoring lots of goals, being talked about, etc. He would then send his scouts to go and see them and maybe go for a look himself to determine whether that player had the right attributes to fit into his own team and whether the player was good enough to consider changing the team's pattern to accomodate him in the team anyway.

hes buying someone on the strength of their previous record, like if they've got 20 in 20 in the league below or a keeper thats conceded 10 in 20. not so crazy.
