Good thread.
So how many people actually play by the LLM rules? I've only just got in to CM4, as I have said before this is my first LLM season and I'm doing my best to play realistically.
Does the novellty wear off and result in a bit of cheating here and there?
I bet a lot of people say they are playing by the rules but really aren't!
Those who play unrealistically, signing players that clearly wouldn't play for them (that doensn't include mine who was scouted and was one of many that my scout found who play in premiership and div 1 u19 teams that accepted trials at my request) surely don't get the mix of emotions that we true LLM managers get, the tension, joy, dissapointment, anger, frustration and relief.
That is what its all about after all isn't it?
And, I wonder, how many of you replay matches when the result doesn't go your way. I admit the temptation is high but I have avoided this, hence my dreadful form loss that will no doubt result in a midtable spot come the season end.

Well, maybe some of us replayed a match they won so often until they lost and got relegated. *sarcasm*

I would agree with you on the joy, dissapointment, anger, frustration, releif and so forth in the world LLM.
No LLMer in their right mind would restart a match if they lost. That is just plain cheating and they are not playing the game in the true spirit if they stoop that low.

It's always good to take a stroll down memory lane with a thread like that.
It's also pretty good to read it then say I stand by everything I said in it.
Good to see the Ethos hasn't been diluted

As I said before, its my first LLM attempt, when I made one single post in the T&T it was very shorlty after buying the game and I was struggling very much. Now I appreciate the better sides of the game and am converted.

Who cares, I don't really care how others play

Yes, of course, this is why I am hanging on in 21st place in the conference after 22 games of the season.
For me, the fun is finding my own way out of trouble, trying new methods to prevent the opposition thrashing you 3-0, 6-1, 5-1 as they have in the last three games my poor team has played.

Sounds like your having fun church.
I set off expecting to be fighting the drop, I was really looking forward to the challenge but my tactics and new signings came good and now I'm hoping for glory.
Good luck mate

The temptation is high??
OK, I admit it: Why actually try to win a match by building a half-decent squad and tweaking my tactics, when I can just quit without saving every time I don't win? |
