Anyway, back on topic:

I always found under CM2 & CM3 that I'd inevitably have a mid-season slump. Normally starting at Christmas and lasting till Feb.

Strangely, I've not noticed this under CM4 or Cm03/04.

So your slump ends about when my slump is about to start. Almost always having a slump in march-april; if it's really going bad then it's extended to the end of the season. Not always though.
So I don't think we can blame the game; my guess it's all about our (lack of) managerial capacities.

I am trying in his game not to loan players in because I have found in the past that you can get promoted just on the players you loan in.
-

Well I have loaned one player, my scout found an up and coming premiership player, only recently since signing him have I heard his name in the press. He's top scorer with 30 goals, my own main striker has 26 and my 19yr old youth signing has 16 so he's playing a key part but even when he's out I was scoring well.

My tactics have my two strikers complementing each other well as long as I play players with similar qualities in the roles.

Well at least they used to complement each other well, until they decided to take up ballet in the middle of my pitch

How many up and coming Premier League players do you know of that are on loan at a Conference side?

And you would know would you?

How many names of young players do you know? surely they would relish the first team action. If you don't know who they are then how can you tell that they aren't on loan at these small clubs for the experience. Who knows how many up and coming players at the top clubs are actually playing regularly elsewhere?

I don't!

That's precisely my point. They all go on loan to First and Second Division sides. Any that go down to the Conference aren't up and coming Premier League players, they are just playing in the shop window in the hope of gaining a contract somewhere.

His scout found him and he tried to loan him.

Fair game as far as I see.

Take your chances. He might have been crap, so as long as I don't know his name, I don't care.

hmm, we've had this before. it set iajafer off one of those famous 'people here say they play LLM, but only few actually play LLM' speeches. and nobody argues with that.

This is still one of my favourite threads. I think it goes on to loans. Worth a re-read anyway, if only to see a2000 throw a wobbly

a2000's use of bold is fĂșcking brilliant

the way he goes from fully believing what hes done is fine, to grovelling when iajafer plays with him to fully believing what iajafer said is pretty funny too

jeff doesnt post nearly enough these days

i still stand by what i said in that thread though, when iajafer plays the 'some people have gone down in my estimation'/'i know who plays LLM and who says they play LLM' these days I know its not worth carrying on then.
