There's the example of Norwich in the Premiership in the 94-95 season (?) where they were near top the table at Christmas, and went into freefall after that, getting relegated at the end of the season.

Thanks for all your comical answers, it looks like I'll have to croos my fingers and home for the best while my team go and throw it all away.

I'll grin and bear it in true LLM style. Hopefully my 10 new 17yr old free transfers will come good next season, 4 of which are in my first team with averages of 7.5-8.0.

The good thing is that I have no chance of being relegated (mathematically impossible) and therefore I have kept my bosses and fans happy this season, they thought that I was favourite for the drop.

If anyones interested I'll keep you informed of my league position, there is of course the chance that my team can re-realise their potential and play a blinder to keep me at the top. After my last game (a hmmm 5-1 defeat to Farnborough) I doubt it very much. Trouble is, if I don't finish top I'll have to meet Farnborough somewhere in the playoffs and then I'm stuffed.

Funny enough I am having a slightly different experience with Forrest Green, Just started a new game this afternoon played 4 and have just one point to my name.

I thought things were going to be tough when I had a pre season friendly against my under 19 team and they whopped me 3-0. Trouble is ... I don't have any players in my under 19 team. Oh woe is me ....

I am trying in his game not to loan players in because I have found in the past that you can get promoted just on the players you loan in.

Ah well let's see if I still have a job by Christmas...
