I'd read the Forum Header, fella. You're ok to name Teams, not ok to name players, and tips on anything to do with playing the game won't be forthcoming in LLM.

you're damned if ou do and you're damned if you dont imo, if you sit back and defend against a far better side then they'll break you down and beat you eventually and if you attack them they'll exploit your gaps. i'd stick to what the players know best and pray.

I only know one way, that's try and score more goals than the opposition, which usually ends up having to be quite a few.

Just think what would happen IRL if a manager of a Conference or equally rubbish team sent out a bunch of wet-nosed "Prospects" and zimmerframed "Veterans" into a 3rd round FA Cup match against Blackburn or Southampton.
He'd get pilloried in the press and probably sacked straight after losing by 7 or 8.
However, as Shrewsbury and even Middlesbrough can prove, a good cup run ain't worth the shrimp it buys if you're eating them with the minnows.

Wonkey-fella's spot-on. Cups is for dweebs. Field your old and infirm and children, even women if you have them. The important game comes the following Saturday on League duty.

Keep your first Team fit for where it matters, the hunt for promotion.

Cups suck ass.
