IMO you're approaching the game the wrong way. Don't think of it as a computer game where you try to beat the AI, and where getting help on a message board is a viable option.
Instead, put yourself in a real manager's shoes. You're managing Yeovil and you've been drawn against Liverpool. Now what? You have one shot at your top flight opposition, so how do
you plan to approach it? Everyone here can give you answers. I've changed tactics, played my up and coming youngster, planned to take out their playmaker, and many other things. Some worked. Most didn't. But at least when they do work, it's your victory and not due to someone else telling you what they did.
And I'm firmly in the "cups are worth the effort" camp. My record in them is fairly poor, but I figure that's what the fans want. So that's what they get. I do have standard ideas for how to cope with cups in a busy schedule, but they may well not be better than anyone else's and I'll not share them here.
