Ok - so you have taken Barnet as far as you can. By the sound of things you have done well, you probably have a few admirers on the boards of rival clubs.
Time to move on - apply for some interesting jobs, perhaps a different country?
The only other option is to be patient and hope that your managerial skills and a bit of luck can improve Barnet further, inch by inch. You got a couple of quick promotions, but now it might take 5 years of consolidation before you can take the next step.
I think the days of clubs "Doing a Wimbledon" are over in real life, and sadly this is becoming the case with alot of clubs in CM as well. |

Im in the same boat in my Tamworth game. After just surviving relegation in the first season we had two succesive promotions and are now completley out of our depth.
Had several cup runs and have nearly £2m in the bank but the board are still limiting my wages to &6k a week and its impossible to sign half way decent players. |

It's rather limiting for gaming experiences on CM. It's not really possible for clubs to adjust accordingly when they manage straight back-to-back promotions.
Come to think of it, it could be said to model real life. I can't think of many clubs who made plausible straight promotions and go on all the way. Fulham was brought up from the depths of Div 2, and I think that they are the only club who've shown enough financial stability to survive at the top. Of course, their owner, Muhammed something... comes into play with his thick wads of cash.

But Humph, if you've noticed, as your bank balance goes down, you get a smaller percentage of your transfer income to spend on transfers, and your wage budget decreases.
The wage budget is just that, a budget, not a portion of your balance that is set aside for wages.
I've also seen my transfer budget disappear as my team went into debt, and I hadn't made a single transfer or new signing.
I agree that there should be some way to get more money for a big signing, but I think that it should be a more interactive conversation with the board. Like, "Hey, Mr. Chairman, I've seen this great kid, but Sturm Graz won't let him leave for less than 125,000, and our budget is only for 100,000 all season long. Want to spot me 25Gs?" Much more realistic than a manager manipulating money he really has no access to in the first place.
From that, no, I can't tell you're an accountant...

I'm not sure doing accountancy in CM will make it more fun - but I guess whatever floats your boat

Just another possible expansion of the game.
I just want the game to have more "body", as I can then stop having these imaginary conversations with myself. :o

Isn't that called requesting extra transfer funds? The function is there. (Not that it serves any use as i've never had positive replies)

Refering to the transfer funds... I've had the board say to me that they would once.. and they did!! But it was only once..
As for how to get more money... become a selling club for a few seasons... find the young talent.. nuture them for a while.. and then sell for a profit... It's a hard road but it's just one of many options... Either that or work harder!!! I personally think that with a lot of hard work, and a lot of time.. any LL team can be taken to the top...
