Won't happen. CM's not out there because of the altruistic bent of SI, it's there to make money. Including the top Divisions of Asian, African and American Nations will increase sales, including the Isthmian, Ryman, Doc Martens Leagues will drag in no-one.
It makes fiscal sense to include other Nations, it takes time and costs money for no input to include the Lower Pyramid.

Don't get me wrong, maister. I'd love it, but Maestro Vaughan points out that the problems experienced by players being unable to play because of work commitments or whatever would make it extremely difficult to implement, that plus the geographical nature of the pyramid Leagues and promotion.
Not impossible, just highly impractical.

I suppose it all boils down to is what we, as LLM managers, are willing to accept wrt realism.
I can't imagine, with all due respect, that the Northern Irish 2nd Division is any better than an English Amateur League. There won't be any "twilight" professionals or full-timers, but it's an enjoyable League to play in, but really unrealistic as Merk will testify.
AFC Wimbledon have that So-Solid Crew guy playing as a left back, I'm sure he disappears on tour every now and again.

You're showing your age, Iajafer. So Solid Crew don't go on tour, they go on trial.
While it's true that it would be nice and probably fun to be able to play at a lower level than, say, Conference in England, what would be the point? If you're looking for realism, you'd be best served to create your own team IRL and do it that way.
For most people, I suspect, CM is about taking charge of a team you read about in Ver Sun everyday and trying to do better the boot-kickers and knighted ones can do. If you're managing the equivalent of the team within spitting distance of where I'm typing this now, you're as far removed from Old Trafford or the San Siro, so most people simply wouldn't bother.
I'm not saying someone isn't going to sit in their bedroom and try to code it, but SI probably won't.
And while it's true that these clubs do sometimes produce big things (a former floppy-haired, now England Captain used to play for the club within spitting distance of where I'm typing now), not enough do for it to be worth including.

Thought he'd only played professionally for 3 teams (two full time, one on loan)

The situation is the same in Scotlands lower leagues and in nearly all of Northern and Southern Ireland leagues and I'm guessing countries like Slovakia (are they in the game) are the same. Anyway would it not just be programed in like an injury?

Ex-Floppy was a youth player for one of my local teams. Vandals recently stole his signed shirt from the club premises. Big news, eh?

Well I'm playing at the moment in the NI 2nd division, where I have noticed players coming in loan from all over the UK. This is quite frankly ludicrous, as the level of this league in real life must be equvilant to the Screwfix Fist Division, which is four leagues down from the conference. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking this division, as it is the best challenge in the game, but the fact it is here plus many other 3rd rate leagues/divisions proves the point that it has nothing to do with realism at all.
Now I don't see why the structure couldn't be put into place to play every league down to county level, & all the cups set up, as well as all the leagues from countries around the world. This surely wouldn't be a problem, as the real work & time goes in getting all the real life players & staff from these clubs, & if they instead put random players in it could soon be done.
Don't hold your breath though |
