I was wondering which had the greater effect on signing players?
Currently Accrington in the conference, and both club and league reps are 4/20 at the start of the game, now I guess that club rep is more fluid and thus has a bigger effect on players signing though I have had a number of players say they don't want to drop divisions, which suggests that they are happy with Accringtons reputation though not the reputation of the conference.
going on from reputations etc etc. how long or how many cups or promotions do you have to win before your clubs reputation increases??
the reason for asking this is because im still playing my 1st game from when i bought cm03/4.
started as millwall after 3 seasons got the sack in a strange way. appointed a coach next thing hes manager!! but i was still manager but had no manager options baaaaa humbug.
then waited a whole season before getting the vitesse arnhem job spent a season & half there before being offered the newcastle job boo yaa.
must say all my enthusiasn for cm has returned big time cant leave the game alone.
anyway sorry for rambling on answers on a postcard please.
That's a question that can only be answered by playing the game, I'm afraid. Now you have the "Obscure" to "World Class" reputation ratings, so I suppose it's a case of looking at that.

Yes after starting the game and thinking about reputations I looked at the editor to see the the reputation of accrington.
Just to let everyone know I did it after the game was running and I didn't change anything.
Just to throw another spanner in the works, your own reputation as a manager is also a factor. I've had players who I can give 10 times their current wage to but they don't feel that me being a sh*te manager and all that they want to come to any club managed by me. I guess that If you are bad manager at a good club you would still get better signings than a good manager at a poor club
