I downloaded the steklo 1.3 skin from sortitoutsi, and saved it to the skins section in the sports interacive folder. But when i load the game up, and go into preferences, it doesnt turn up? Any ideas why?

I think it is best if you ask the Graphics and Skins forum. They would give you a proper helping hand.

Make sure you have "Skin Cache" unchecked.

just did that now, but still nothing

Always have the "Reload skin" option on aswell.

Also did you put it in the skins folder for the custom stuff, or the official folders for the game?

Put the reload skin optio on, and when i pressed confirm it said 'loading image data for new skin', but there is still no other skins appearing.

I put the skin in the folder that was already in the Sports Interactive folder, is that right?

A few things...

*Are you putting the files into the 'My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/skins'?
make sure that you are not putting them into the folder in 'Program Flies/Sports Interactive/...' as they won't work in there. There should be no need o EVER add anything to the system files.

*Is the skin you've downloaded archived?
Does the skin have a .zip or .rar appended to the end of the file name? If so you need to unpack it first. I'd suggest getting hold of the free version of WinRAR as it does it all.

Once you have the unpacked 'Steklo' folder in the correct 'My Documents/.../skins' folder it should be selectable fro the menu in FM's preferences. Just make sure that 'Reload Skin on Confirm' is on and 'Use Skin Cache' is off.

Should work fine.

It should be in the folder that's in your documents.

There's 2 folders pretty much.

1 is the official one, which is in your Program files and the other which is in your Documents usually. The one in your documents is for your skins, kits, logos, and all that.
