Whenever I try to install the patch for FM 2008, it keeps telling me it can't install because fm.exe is being used by another process even though I don't have the game open, and it's not on my process list in Task Manager.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so did you and how do you fix it?

I might have had the same problem briefly, not sure. You can try the following (if you haven't already) -

Scan the installation file for viruses. If it's clean, switch off your anti-virus program. Try installing the patch then. Then turn your anti-virus back on.
