In my save game as Rangers, I won the league with Celtic second then Falkirk, Hibernian and Motherwell.

We all qualified for Europe (Celtic and Rangers --> EEC, Falkirk, Hibs & Motherwell --> EC.

Does this always happen cause this is the first time I've actually tried the SPL, and it was weird.

The current coefficient is 4 teams into europe.

Top 2: ECC
3rd & Cup winners: EC

Depending on inter-toto results you could get another team into the EC.


As it's not your first season, if the scottish teams have done well in europe the coefficient can go up, giving you more places.

It's completely possible to get 9 teams out of a 12 team league into europe (including vase) if you do well enough and keep going for long enough.

What season are you in?

If it's the first season then the top two should enter the Champions Cup and the Cup Winners and Third Placed teams should enter the EURO Cup.

This can change over time and depending on if a Scottish team win a European trophy or not.

I think you had it right the first time, just with commas in the wrong place, e.g.

..as Rangers I won the league, with Celtic second...

If it is season one then I would imagine it is correct. After that places are won or lost according to the success of teams from that country in the relevant competitions.

When I was playing Rangers there were 6 teams in Europeint eh second season.

2 in the champs league and 4 in uefa Hearts qualified through eurovase and Motherwell because of fairplay
