how often do other user's save their games? i like it to save every 2weeks, got burned once before with a power cut and lost 2 months, but my mate saves before EVERY game! so if he loses or draws, he just reloads the game before his non-victory and plays it again! he's played 4 seasons with chelsea and won every game and comp hes played. i think he's a wee bit mad and sad.

I have autosave turned off. I usually save every few months, or midway through a season.

Used to be every 2 weeks, but I just got tired of waiting for to save all the time.

Very much a personal choice I think. I tend to save around once a week of game time.

After every game for me, sometimes the program just closes and it's a pain to play it again.

Before my Uninterruptable Power Supply died: I saved maybe once a month.

Now, once a week or so. If you can, definitely get a UPS. I once had the power knocked out 3 times in a month by drunk drivers hitting power poles.

My lappie occasionally overheats and closes down (hey, I'm in the tropics!). It's caused me some heart-breaking FM moments, so I tend to save immediately after a major fixture or at least one per gameweek. I do have to delete a lot of savegame files!

Better safe than sorry. Now, if only I had the same attitude to backing up my HD...

I usually a 3 file monthly rolling autosave at the moment. Sometimes I change that to every week though.

The saving speeds on 2008 are much quicker than last year. :thup:
