Just had the board say the ground capacity is going to be increase and will last 5 months, into next season. As a result the seating capacity will be smaller than usual while the work goes on. Does this mean I will recieve lower gate receipts during that time?
If you imagine builders improving one stand to make it bigger, then they have to knock it down or at least keep fans out of it whilst the building work is going on, if you check you information screen it will tell you what its dropped to.

Do the gate prices increase to compensate otherwise there would be a full ground every match, maybe.
Wouldn't have thought so. Doesn't happen in real-life does it? The fans wouldn't accept it! Once the ground is finished, the increased capacity will quickly compensate for the lost gate receipts whilst building work was going on
Or if you are really lucky you get the bizarre (and clearly buggy!) situation I had at Greenock Morton in FM07. When the board finally decided to expand the ~11,000 capacity Cappielow Park which we were not filling generally anyway (mebee averaging ~9,500) they went to town on it and closed the stadium for the duration.
Thus we spent the majority of the season playing down the road at the 50,000+ capacity Ibrox where our attendances immediately leapt up to ~35,000 per week!! Seems the good people of Greenock couldn't be bothered when we were on their doorstep then came in their droves when we were 10-15 miles down the road
Now we fill out our expanded ground (being expanded again so it'll be ~20,000 soon) every week so we appear to have kept that expanded fan base!
