Hello everyone.

I am not the kind of person to whine but one thing is starting to bother me.

I basically want to ask if anyone else is suffering from the same problem as me.

Basically, many of the FREDs generated have very low physical stats. Especially balance, natural fitness and agility. Now in real life, to a degree, these can be improved without drastic effect on a players technical ability. However, on FM, due to physical attributes being tied into CA/PA this is impossible.

I am not sure if the problem is:

- Players generated with too low CA to reach their PA

or

- I am just imagining the problem.


Anyone with similar experiences?

I'm only at 2011 myself and I'm pretty pleased with some of the freds I've got so far.

Time will tell though.

Has anyone else noticed there arn't enough versatile players ?

Too many DC who can't play anywhere else, and a huge number of MC who can't play anywhere else, aswell as ST who arn't capable of playing any other postion.

I have noticed that alot of the newgens (newly generated players with facegen), at the start of a game, are single position only.

I can only assume that it's reliant on the user to re-train positions where required.

Yes, Fred's was the old name for regens.

But to answer the poster of the OP, PaulC already have answered in the link you gave.
SI will tweak the appearance of wonderkids and faster developers!
I think that is exactly what is missing at this moment, so i guess after 8.0.2 we will see our next péle's again!

Actually it was the other way around. Regen's was the old name for FRED's.

Reason being is that in older versions of the game, when players retired, a new player was regenerated using the retiring players attributes. Hence, a regen.

Yea, anyone remember when you could nickname a player and then just search for his regen after he retired? I remember nicknaming Zidane to another name and picking his regen up for free! Ahh, to be young again

I've found the newgens to be pretty good, some like you say, have low physical stats which can cause a problem but there are plenty out there with good stats in that area.

The development of players needs speeding up a bit if you ask me though.
