physical stats for regens are generally too low at the moment. pace is the biggest problem, as it's a very valuable stat to have for most positions. a low pace stat often ruins an otherwise good striker, winger or centre back
poor jumping and strength stats also really hinder a lot of regen centre backs and strikers who'd otherwise be target men

I'm in 2012 in my game, so the first batch of regens are reaching their early 20s. I have seen a handful of regen wonderkids come through, but there have been no cases where the kid was a stellar physical player. At best, they will only have two physical attributes over 15. I'd be okay with this except for the fact that I haven't seen any young players with great physical stats and less impressive technical stats. There's a young Greek fullback with a PA of 199 that I'm going to be keeping a very close eye on...

| I started a thread like this towards the end of FM07's shelf-life, about regens not having very good physical attributes and such like.
But lots of regulars proved to me that the field was not so restricted and all I had to do was look for them.
Not that thats of any help whatsoever, but you get my drift. |

| Yes, Fred's was the old name for regens.

Actually it was the other way around. Regen's was the old name for FRED's.
Reason being is that in older versions of the game, when players retired, a new player was regenerated using the retiring players attributes. Hence, a regen. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Thanks for the correction!
Any idea what "FRED" stands for?

I have a regen spanish CB with all physical stats over 15, including pace and acceleration at 17. Also have a regen player who can play anywhere down the right wing, natural in all positions with 3 PPMs, his physicals are all over 12, with pace/acc at 15/16. He's only 19 as well. Guess you can find them if you are a bit lucky and your scouts do a good job.
However, is this tied into the database as well? So in a large database more regens are made so hence more chance of getting better ones?

I know that other people are starting to comment about the long term stability of Fred's but I can't say that I've noticed too much wrong so far.
To be honest, if I had to make a comment now I would say that the standard of Fred's that my Mosside side are producing now, are better than my Lisburn Rangers side proiduced at the same stage in FM07.
It's early days for me now I know, (2014).
