Yeap - whoever is bottom. I usually do well against the top teams but if you are the relegation zone and need a favour then my team are the ones to give it.

My FM06 Whitley Bay team hated playing Cardiff...twice on the final day of the season we played them at home needing a result to finish in 4th for a Champions League spot and both times they caused us to finish 5th.

My bogey team to end all bogey teams though was in that same save game. Whitley Bay beat Manchester City in their first ever meeting when they arrived in the Premiership, but after that we were appalling. Our record after that first meeting was something like p13 w1 d2 l10. Even when we were in blistering form for 6 months one season, unbeatable by anyone else, we went to Man City and had our goalkeeper sent off, didn't have one on the bench and lost 6-2

When i was playing with Darlington in the Championship I could never defeat QPR and their damned 4-2-3-1 formation.

PLaying with Leicester in Premiership is always seem to fail to win against Villa of all teams, weirdly enough they also play a variation of 4-2-3-1

Any team made up of grey players Just played against Waltham Forest in a FA Trophy round and only just won 3-2 with my Bath City team. It was the most difficult game I've had so far.

In FM07 it was Leicester when I played as Leeds. Which I was pleasantly surprised at as it was usually the case in real life, too.

FM08, it seems to be Newcastle. Playing again as Leeds in Championship, lost in both league matches and the League Cup, back in Prem, lost to Newcastle 3-1 at home, but same team (albeit slightly slower, shorter passing) beat Man-U 1-0 the next game.

Not sure if it's coincidence or if the players are now programmed to fear a particular team. The first time I played them on this save we capitulated 4-0. Would be impressive if this was intended by SI.

Burnley. That's right, bloody Burnley!

This season my team has the best defence in the championship and we only conceded two lucky goals against Chelsea in the FA cup. But whenever I play Burnley they just score for fun. It's like an old fashioned Keegan game, a mad dash to see who can score the most goals withing 90 minutes. I don't necessarily lose to them all the time, but every game I play against them is like a roll of the dice.
