Done a quick search but could not find anything.

Basically, i was just wondering if it is possible to gain rivals over the period of your game?

I am manager of Worcester City and always seem to have run-ins with the AFC Telford boss as we are progressing through the leagues at the same time! I would just like to know if they will become an 'other rival' at least?

Not to my knowledge, no. I'd definitely like to see that added - its especially important (I think) for clubs which outgrow their local rivals. For example, if I take York up to the Championship level, my rivals at that point should be Leeds United, Sheffield United, etc., not the Blue Square quality sides which start out as my rivals.

I think it is possible, because at Man Utd i looked at the club info and i saw Everton were there. I checked the editor and there not there so it looks like it is possible.

I also manager to get a rivalry with Bayern Munich after me and their manager were good friends (in the game) but then i completely ' kicked their bum's' in the CL final and he turned on me. I reacted badly and we've been rivals ever since. I think it's a great feature.

This got me thinking. When you assign a new manager, you can select a favourite club. But I'd also like to be able to select unfavoured clubs. Then, at least in theory, as I'm not saying I'd necessarily do it, I'd like to be able to say inflammatory things to the media about clubs I don't like.

Yes, it's unprofessional. But I think it would be good if the game could then recognise a connection between my comments and the fact that the club I made them about was one that I dislike. And from that, a rivalry could begin to ensue.
