Could SI consider the stats junkies in future please?
As the game becomes more complicated and fun, it encourages you to take more of an interest in the attributes of players and the stats produced from matches and tactics.
I started to enter these into a spreadsheet to see how I could improve the team and the tactics, but of course it is very time consuming - however rewarding if done over a period of a few seasons.
So, what I'd like to have is the ability to export my team and the attributes to a file that I can then load into excel or something similar.
Equally, I'd like to have the ability to export the league table so that I can compare things between seasons (goals for, against, wins, losses, etc).
I can't imagine that this is too difficult to do, but is it something SI would consider doing? It would make the stats side of the game more enjoyable if we could play around with them in spreadsheets or other available tools.

there was once a third person program that you used along side a savee game editor.
you could export the data to a csv file i think and view it in excel. you could export about 20 times so basically if you had along term game you could do it at the begining of every season and sometime in the middle.
it looked pretty good as well. i wonder if there's an update version for fm08 out there?

Sometimes you have to to a little arranging in Excel but it's lot quicker than inputting them manually.
You can't use it for Action Zones though.
Thanks for this. It does save quite a bit of time but the formatting that's included is really annoying.
I wonder why they included the text file option but then included all the table formatting. !?!
Also agree that tabs would be an excellent addition as would better goalie stats.
postal postie: I've followed the CM/FM series since the beginning and don't remember this. If I had known I would have loved this. If you remember more about it or find out the availability of anything similar, I'd love to hear about it.

It was an Excel spreadsheet containing all Visible attributes (but no hidden ones, and "attributes", not "stats").
You would use FMScout to search for the player's attributes, and then hit "Export to Excel", and then there was something on the FMCoach spreadsheet that imported.
Last worked with .. what, FM'05? FM'06? I don't remember. It was brilliant at the time - perfect for tracking who was improving and who wasn't!
