Just a thought, or a wish actually...

How cool would FM be if when your brand new striker smashes one in and the net bursts outwards.

Apologies if my little dream for this game has been realised as many times as there are stars in the sky but I've never seen a post about it - not that I've looked terribly hard.

I've spent a long time waiting for sites like sortitoutsi to load and we all know it's knackered, so no joy on that front.

Has anyone done this?

Is it actually possible?

Why doesn't someone do it? (I can't - me crap)

It guess it's probably a tricky little thing to do?
I bet the whole 2-D 'thing' would have to be re-written?

I'd never thought of that, and it's a really good idea, but it would probably be extremely hard to make it work correctly...

It's not possible, the nets are just static images at the moment. I'm not quite sure how we would be able to do it to be honest.

I figured as much...

Shame though - would add that little bit more to the 2D match IMO.

Something for SI to consider hopefully.

Yeah like having a static net as normal. Then when the ball goes in changing the net to an animated GIF that bulges?

The problem with the GIF image thing is that you'd need to make a near infinite number of images depending on how te net would bulge, due to the shot.

It would need to be done in a similar way to how it's done in games like Pro Evo or FIFA.

Could someone not just make the nets slightly smaller so a small fraction of the ball appears outside of the nets dimensions. Thus creating a makeshift bulge as it were.
