Ok monkofdoom here's my full team:


The original Ipswich team can work quite well, as Pakin does a decent job in the Target man role, but i also bought Dahlberg in the January transfer window who also plays that role well.

Emerson plays well as the quick striker but when i started this game it was with 602 patch i dont know if he's available on 603 with data update.

Juan does well in the DMC role as he big and he chipped in a few goals from corners, which has now opened my eyes to start buying big players for that role.

Currie and Westlake also had good seasons playing on the wings, i had to bring in cover for defence as i thought at the start of the game they were fairly weak, and Makos did well for me, i aso signed Delaney in January but he's been injured most of the time.

But my sest signing would have to be Stevanovic in the midfielder getting forward role, he always got my plenty of goals. Alot of the signings though were just to add strength in depth.


These were my transfers that i made and what i paid.


These were the ones i let go, not because they didn't fit into the tactic, more because i thought the offers would give me alot more scope in the transfer market.

I always go for youth and my average age of squad was just 24.

Other things i found while doing this season was when playing weaker teams sometimes it can be hard breaking them down, and for a while was unsure why, but yet when i played Chelsea i battered them, the reason i found was if your playing a team were the oppostion full backs dont get forward, you can struggle, as the throughballs your full backs play just get cut out, while more adventurous teams such as Chelsea push there full backs forward giving your wingers acres of space when you win back possesion.

If you score early it's not a problem and you can usually add a couple of more goals, a way of maybe countering this though if you was having trouble would be to take of through balls, and give your full backs forward runs often. I stress i haven't tried this yet as i usually break these tams down eventually, and if i get the odd 0-0 draw then so be it.

Here's my Goalkeeper settings Markyzola:


Right the mentallity is on normal because i dont want them charging out to much but at the same time i down want then sitting back if they get a chance to clear so after trying various settings and watching full games i decided this worked best for me.

Creative freedom is turned right down, as i dont want them doing anything stupid, and distribution on mixed, as i dont think it's wise to give them strict instructons, if there is a chance of a quick counter it may be better to kick long but on other occasions it may be better to throw to a full back, so i let my keeper make there own mind up.

The rest i just left as they were.

If your conceeding to many goals chances are it's your team that needs adjusting, alot of people when trying to defend just work on the back 4 and the Goalkeeper, but IMO thats wrong you defend right through your team.

Make them as compact as possible, i.e if you have a right back on very defensive mentallity and the right winger on very attacking mentallity, but your team instructions are to pass short, the space betwwen your right back and your winger is to big and will get exploited.

That goes the same between midfielders and wingers, and striker alike, and i'm sure most people who have downloaded my tactic and use it would agree, that for example when my right winger is attacking in the final third he has support from the full back, in very close proximity giving him options and when defending the winger will also be helping out the full back and thats all to do with mentallity and closing down.

I played months on this tactic and started with a basic 4-4-2 with no arrows i watched match after match on either extended or full match and watched closely ever goal i conceeded then tried to find out how i could stop it, and that is how the tactic arrived at it's present state. My advice is when trying to stop conceeding dont just look at your defence and goalkeeper, look at the whole team, and also read alot of other topics on this forum by people like Cleon and Jutified who tips are a great help.

Yeah team is mixed, late on in a game, i swich my 2 strikers to closing down full, if they have plenty left in the tank.
