Here's what I did when I was starting to lose.

Put the attacking slider more towards the middle, and slow down the tempo. Thats if I was giving the ball away in my own half a lot. That way you work the game slower, since this isnt a counter-attack strategy, it doesnt matter how fast it goes.

then as the game progesses every 5-10 mins up the tempo bar. you might also want to put your own arrows up on the wingers. This'll put your midfielders further up the field behind their wingers when you get the ball.

Hope that helps, otherwise invest heavily in a tall 185cm + high heading, strength, and jumping striker during the transfer window. He'll be your bread and butter

If i want to hold on to a lead i usually do the following if i'm suffering alot of pressure: slow tempo, switch to direct passing, go narrow, counter attack, increase time wasting.

If i'm chasing a game, it depends on the team i'm playing and if i'm creating chances. If i'm creating chances i usually leave it, till last 10 mins then increase tempo, put time wasting right down, and go wide as possible, and go gung ho, direct passing.

As mentioned before the tactic can struggle against 4-5-1 formation and against teams that dont push there full backs forward, i.e Chelsea, if that's the case, i take of through balls for my full backs, make sure they run with ball and forward runs are often and slow down tempo.

The main thing though is there is no super tactic, i believe this is a very good and effective tactic, but sometimes needs to be given time for the players to adapt to it, and then you'll reap the rewards, but dont be thinkin you can take over a team like Forest Green and march to the premire without buying anyone as it aint gonna happen.

Well thats not my tactic, but i dont see why it wouldn't work, Guarin should be perfect for the MC position with arrow going back, and Laquina should be fine for the target man position, just have to give it some time make sure your full backs have good crossing aswell as they give alot of assists, good luck

Lol that's not my tactic either, but when u actually find mine i think Gerrard might be best for the midfielder with the forward arrow and someone like Guarin with his excellent long shots would be great in the midfield position with arrow going back, and i'm sure he'd get you a few goals a season, but other users who have used Liverpool might be more of a help as i'm yet to use them, but i think the squad should be more than enough to come 1st or 2nd in the league.

what's your players morale like, and if it's poor there are plenty of threads on how to improve it, as this game is heavily reliant on players morale.
