Yes they can, its about finding the right balance for the attributes you want to improve and focus on.

And like I said, I don't believe some random tales of "abuse" of being able to edit your own posts is a good reason, considering the number of forums which do allow editing and don't have problems..

But I digress.

I suppose you could reduce the more intensive parts of training for attacking players and give them more tactics training.

Random tales lol? People were changing posts to hide abuse they were giving members, to change things to say different things all the time etc. All very valid reasons. I doubt you visit many forums with the amount of active members as on here.
