lol...my english has suffered slightly since i left school...but this is a post, not an essay...bullet points are maybe quicker to get the point across. i'll use them to help the ones of you with the attention spans of goldfish
captains should have more influence in motivation while on the pitch, as in real life. the main factors being a professional personality and a calm head to sooth tensions when things get tough. my main thoughts:-
more involvement in team talks. the option to allow a rousing teamtalk by your captain could have more effect as he would be more respected by his team mates (especially when managing a new club)
more manager-captain interaction. the captain should act as confident btween players and manager. this could cause a revolt or a dramatic improvement in results, depending on his relationship with you and his professionalism. he could also offer invaluable info on players (i know the ass. manager kinda does this but the captain should offer more of a human element as he'd no the players personally)
helping managers settle into a new club. the captain should act as a catalist in the decisions for the whole team. if he's more professional he will accept the boards decision and try to convince other palyers to do the same
i really do think the captain plays such a crucial role irl eg. chelseas poor form in the absence of terry or henry leading by example last night (he didn't give up a single ball)...let me know what you think?
p.s aminal...i haven't seen any contribution from you at all on this forum. so i'll take your opinion when i think it matters, come back when you have something useful to say
