Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default The art of mentalities!!!

First of all I have to say I hav learned a significant amount on team and individual mentalities since becoming a member of the forum, particularly from seasoned players such as Cleon amongst others.

Now im trying to enhance some of the more intricate elements of setting mentalities. Basically what I am trying to find out is the what other players do with following (all views will be appreciated):

* Do you set the same mentalities throughout defence, then the same throughout midfield, then with the forwards?
or
* For example do you give the full backs a higher mentality and your more defensive mid a lower one?

This is assuming your using a standard 4-4-2 as I do. I also tend to do the latter of the two questions posed. My teams is Sheffield United and I just want to see if I can improve my system before the start of the first season. I started wondering if the team would play as more of a unit if I gave each row of players the same mentality.

Also I forgot - does setting an overall mentality have an affect on the team if they have individual ones set? I assumed it might affect overall passing and closing down.

P.S Sorry for the odd grammatical error in the first post, I type far too quickly for my own good LOL
