yeah i think ive got it sorted for the half time/full time talks as i read through the TT&F post yesterday! MAN is that a long read forgot what the top said by the time i was at the bottom!

i think you should keep the basic tactic you feel happy with but every game needs a slight alteration in-match to counter the oppositions style eg. i got anearly goal against portsmouth and got greedy thinking i could get more. i kept passing shorter through the midfield with a playmaker on slow tempo and found myself 3-1 down at half time...changed it second half and got one back but finished 3-2 with the damge already done...if you dont adapt then the game WILL punish you

When they goto 4-2-4 all I tend to do is change passsing to direct if not already then goto opposition instructions and the wingers that are now their Fl and FR tight mark them.

You may consider dropping someone to DMC and make him zonal tight mark too just incase one of their midfielders floats about seems to work.

cheers gavinkil! im sticking with the tactic davey suggested at the mo coz its working brill.but i will try it if this stops working! i like to keep my options open!

i also found that same tactic works a treat against the big teams as it really frustrates them and i get more chances because of the pacey strikers with the sarrows.

joga-b...do you mean my counter attack (or lack of it) theory works for you...i hope so...im getting alot of success with it(won 6 in a row conceeding 1, 4 games away).i've posted it around but don't seem to be getting any feedback any, good or bad, will do. i just want some idea how it works for different people. works great with 4-1-2-2-1 formation
