in fm 07 i have been watching a lot of full matches against the teams that i don't think i will blow away

the reason i am making this post is to try and get an idea on what to look for so i can make the correct tweaks

IMO i think it's pretty important to have your central defenders matched up so that when andy johnson has the ball he is in rio ferdinands zone, rio is very fast and i think that if you had someone slower the ai manager would clearly know that, i mean depending on his scouts, cause i think the ai coaches get the same info but if their scouts have no tactical knowledge then they aren't getting the right info

also i guess you could watch how wide they play by looking at how close their players play to the touchline right? also how many people they have in front of the ball or behind it, and it a certain player is marking a certain player on your team


i played a season with newcastle and steven taylors pace is 14 acc is 12 and agi is 9 my other cd had the same pace, better acceleration and his agility was 16 compared to taylors 9 so depending on who we played and how fast the strikers were or if the had a big target man i would have taylor on the side of the bigger slower striker and my faster defender on the side of the faster player and this didn't really seem to make too much of a difference to me, i thought my tactics were just good and i wasn't leaking goals but against blackburn once and everton once and spurs twice i had taylor on mccarthy,johnson and defoes sides and they burned him, so after the goal i switch him to the other side and it seems to make a difference the 3 strikers all seemed to have a hard time getting by the faster defender

i am gonna start my new season with man utd and try to see about matching players like midfielders on work ethic and determination they should just straight up out work them and play a big part in winning you the match

anyways if anyone has any ideas anything they have tried and has worked or knows any ways to see how the other team is playing and how to adapt please post them
