hi i am in my second season of norwich on FM05 i managed to stay in the premiership finishing about 15th. anyway i desperately need help with my tatics. in my first match against everton i had 6 shots, 3 on target, 3 off target. Everton however had 26 shots, 10 on target, 16 0ff. nothing seems to work. i have tried changing mentality, width, closing down, passing style, messed around with individual stuff. all seem to end up with this same result of the opposition having an insane amount of shots with me not getting any. i tried one of rashidas guide but it didnt seem to work. guess im not doing something right. i want to play a 442 formation or a 4-1-3-2. can someone help me sort out the team and player instructions.

PS i have tried searching forums aswell cant seem to find anything of use. the amount of guides is so confusing especially as each contradicts eachother.

I think you're answered your own question here. You're not going to get a lot of help from the tactics or guides for the simple reason that 99% of them are for FM 2007 (with the other 1% being FM 2006).

You're playing a different game (similar in concept-but the game's moved on)

As for the contradictory guides-that's simply people writing down what works for them-there are some that are real gems that can apply universally but equally some are imagined theories dressed up as 'rules'.

BTW-if you want to buy a copy of 2007-there seem to be a number of guys on here who want to sell theirs...(not me though!)

All I can remember about FM05 ws ultra short passing, ultra-narrow width and ultra-slow tempo.
