My AssMan likes to use that one for my whole team all the time, I keep changing it because it seems like it's just telling my team "You don't have to play well today."
I allowed that one once, and I ended up getting hammered by Hibs 4-1 at home.
Bizarrely, this seems to make my teams play better. They relax and become good at their jobs, when in reality it's an invite to care less about what they're meant to be doing.
Only works on certain players I find, I usual check my ass.man team talk report, and I see it only had an effect on one player. So I usualy use "we can win this" or "wish luck" if I use "we can win this" then I use no pressure on the guy I know it works. There is a really good team talk guide by WoIfsong
I quite like this aspect of the game, although it can be an area that's very difficult to get right for many.
Sometimes a more relaxed approach to a game can reduce the pressure some players feel. Keeping an eye on responses to team talks is an important indication of what players respond to what comments. Obviously though, you generally would'nt tell players to relax in a derby match.
It's funny really because most threads discussing this tend to say that when their team is winning comfortably at half-time, they would normally select a comment such as "well Done" or "Fantastic". I will normally go for the "Relax" option at this point as I've generally found that the players perform better in the second half, possibly because the lead is comfortable and they can play their own game.
Its not really unrealistic. You need the right sort of player to use this on to make it work. Some will see it as an invite to be sloppy but others will be more relaxed. I know in my job if someone is not pressuring me all the time, I work much better because I enjoy myself. Rather than getting lambasted everytime you do something wrong.
tends to work quite well in the league cup for me, when i'm playing youngsters/reserves... just won 3-1 at man city using it at kick off, and half time!
I only use "No Pressure" when a young kid is making his debut for the team, or if a player has just returned to the team after a lengthy injury lay-off.
Never leave it to your Ass man, they know Dick all.
I always get an Assistant with a motivating of 20 and let him do the talks. works well. though i do not let him use the pleased or thrilled halftime talk as this is just the kiss of death.
