Any of them - they will be the same file (a "mirror" is an alternative download site)

The shop i bought from took my old games including Champioship manager 01/02 and 04 season, so i dont think i'll have a problem returning the product considering i cant it to work with vista.

barlow - the game DOES work with Vista, and has Microsoft certification having passed all of their tests with the operating system. That it worked first time for you shows that too.

You should follow the other points in the threads on the subject. I don't use Vista myself, but have seen in some of the threads that logging in as adminstrator worked for them. You should also look at anything you might have downloaded or installed after playing the game for the first time, as that might be causing the conflict.

Believe me i have tried everything, including installing and running as a admin. I also disabled messanger and anti-virus/firewall. I am the only user account on this, the laptop has plenty of ram, still wont work, no updates since it worked last night either. I've being at since 3:00pm today.

I have Vista and had a couple of niggles when I first installed FM2008.

Running as administrator worked for me - Right click the FM08 icon on desktop, select "run as administrator" in the drop down menu.

Otherwise, have a good read through the forums here. I don't think I've seen anyone not manage to get it going eventually.

Problem is in the main part, everyone has different spec PC's running different software and applications, so it's often difficult to pinpoint a problem that can be unique for each user.

Hope you get things going and sure you'll love the game when you do.
