I'm managing Liverpool in the 4th season and most of my staff have been with me from the beginning. i noticed a season or so a go that one of my staff members left to join a lower placed team (thin it was a top end championship team). Didn't really pay much attention and just hired a new on.
However...my Assistant manager who had a year and a half left on his contract was just offered a 'caoch' contract by Norwich who are currently top of the Championship. I thought that a little strange so I went to the offer contract screen for my AssMan and he wanted £23,000 a week to extned his AssMan job or £7,000 for a regular coach position. I also checked his favoured personnel and I am one of his favoured staff.
So, i thought, there is no chance he will go to Norwich......I thought wrong. And he is now only on £825 per week. Surely there is something fundamentally wrong here that some who obvioulsy likes his job, his manager, a few of the squad (Torres and Aguero) would leave and take a 6ish grand pay cut.
I think it is a bug. I've seen it a few times where I just though WTF? Staff sometimes move for no good reason to a smaller club for less responsibility. I never really thought anymore about it because I don't see it all that often.
He could'nt handle the pressure. I'm assuming it was because of the constant tirading by his manager to the media. His manager nipping to the pub for a few pints and leaving the AssMan to take training. Anything really.
Seriously though, it could probably do with a "tweek" as it's something you don't see very often but frustrating nonetheless.
