Mine is 10 months and still counting. I was sacked in March 2009 and it is now January 2010!! I was managing Kayserispor in the Turkish Prem and my reputation was national but now it has dipped to regional. I know most people would just start again but now I am curious to see how long my unemployment will last and who will eventually give me a chance.

Never been unemployed that long myself but I guess it depends whether you are actively applying for the jobs (and what type of jobs you are applying for) or whether you are waiting for them to approach you. Would have thought that with that reputation, even if it has gone down, you should be able to get a new job quite quickly.

A year, but that was when I started unemployed with no rep and stupidly didn't load leagues below League 1.

I've not managed to get a game going long enough to either resign or get sacked. And I never start unemployed.

i started unemployed and after 2 seasons didnt get a job so i just started again, must have been some malicious roumers spread about me in the football world ecause that was mental!

Not long after I was sacked Cambridge City offered me their job but Billy Big Shoes here thought "I can do better than that!". Now I am applying for everything going. I am even trying to unsettle managers at Blue Square Premier teams and getting laughed at by the chairman!

2 years and 2 months. I had taken Cardiff into the Premiership and was fired after a catastrophic 2nd season that saw us land in 17th place. I thought I had done enough to be sure of a Premiership post, but only Championship teams (and lowly teams at that) came in for me, so I held out and finally got my chance at Reading. I did no good there as well

Hucknall Town eventually ended my unemployment after 11 months.

3 and a half seasons. From AFC Wimbledon (way back in 2015) to Harrogate (beginning of 2018/19 season) and since then I've been to 10 clubs in 10 years, spending 5 years at Stockport.

Yeah, I'm hooked.
