How young can you be to play in a semi-professional league? Does it differ from counry to country? If so, which is the youngest?

It differs country to country. Some places have no lower limit, although I don't remember finding anyone under 14 on the game.

Pretty sure you can't play in the English Prem if you're under 16.

Correct, and IRL you can only play under the age of 16 with permission from the player's parents and school, though this has yet to be implemented into FM, so 16 is the limit in all English leagues.

Perhaps there's something to add for the future :thup:

They can play at any age in the reserves and youth teams though, which is enough to gain valuable experience and imrpovement at such a tender age.

Not sure throwing the 14 year old striker in against "Hacker McDuff" in the lower leagues will help him much. Apart from devloping a broken leg

I think that on FM07 I saw a 13 year old come through the ranks at Barcelona. Insane.

Milan made his first team debut for Colo-Colo when he was 14, I believe.

Luke Freeman played for Gillingham when he was 15.

Oh yes he did - becoming not only our youngest ever player, but the FA Cup's youngest ever player (in the proper rounds at least). Our manager and chairman had to get permission from the kid's school!!

I have seen a 13 year old before, but have never been able to play anybody under 16 (which has proved frustrating before when I get a wonderkid regen who can't stop our sides slide towards the bottom).
