i was thinking about this this morning.
that is,that in FM when players have played long enough together they get a better understnading and play better togethr.
but how does the game work this out at the start of the save?
because if it was merely a stat that's set up then you would see it in the editors. also it would have to have 15+ different ratings for each player because of all the different players that one could have an understanding with. so does the game take into account the understanding between carragher,hyypa and finnan for example at the start of the game?
it couldn't possibly be gained from merely looking at the amount of games each player has played at that club because they might not have played in the same team as each other that often.

that is true, but normally after time in fm players begin to have them in favourite personal and link up better but i see your point...one for the moderators to answeer i feel

favoured personal is important but i do remember years ago that keeping the same defence will yeald better results than chopping and changing because they will 'gell' together. regardless of if they have each other as a favourite.
as i can't find a specific stat for this in the editor i can only come up with two ideas.
either the understanding between players doesn't exist at the start of the game
or
the stat is even more hidden that the hidden stats
