Default Transferring save files between XP and Vista

Hello,

I've got a save game on my Vista laptop and want to transfer it to my XP desktop. Both computers have FM 07 7.0.2 installed, and I saved my save game file to a USB memory stick and transferred it over into the same folder.

I loaded FM up and got the error "the database that created this game could not be found."

I then realised I had created a custom database called DB1 on my laptop, so I went back, put that on the USB stick, and transferred it over into the db folder.

I loaded FM up again, but got the same message.

Obviously, the folder structure is different on both computers - the Vista one is C:/Users/Damian/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2007/ and the XP one is C:/Documents and Settings/Damian/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2007/

Would this make a difference?

I tried to cheat the system a bit and create a Users folder on my C drive on my desktop so the file path would be the same, and the game did actually start to load, but crashed out with the same error a few seconds later.

Any ideas?

Neji is on a distinguished road
Default

Either go into the editor and create a new DB called DB1 and save it in the default location.

OR..

Transfer the other DB into both the locations you posted above. Also maybe in the actual game directory, I think there is a db folder in there too.

Good luck
