A long way to go before you're semi-pro

and as Ter just said, you'll only get a reduced post count, a warning and possibly a ban if you spam/freepost/postboost.

As for the time thing, you will not be "downgraded" if you had Semi-Pro, then left for a year and returned. Your post count would still be the same.

Something I would rather, ahead of post count, is member reputation. Allowing other members to give |extra rep| for helpful posters.

No, your status would still be the same as it was a year ago. If your account is still active as we purge inactive accounts every now and again
