I don't think it's a case of a bad header outright - perhaps it's a bit washed out, which might be a consideration: a deeper blue perhaps. I can't see much replication between this and JA's either, particularly seeing as most of the popular skins take on the same guise of slimline fonts and curved edges combined with soft colours.

Opening the screenshot while FM06 (with E2 skin) was running on the other monitor, the similarity was remarkable - E2 has clearly been used as the starting point, as you can see from the graphics, font and layout of the first shot.

This isn't a bad thing in itself; the second shot shows a gradual diversion from JA's design and the final thing may not be quite so derivative, but personally I'd have been far too embarassed to post shots until it was more obviously my own work and less obviously plagiaristic.
