Does EDT generator edit all of FM or just the saved game

it creates an edt file. An edt file affects only a new game.

You can choose to activate an edt file or not via the preference screen. Checking on a box, activates the file, unclicking it, means the file won't operate.

So it is up to you if you want the file to work or not when you start a new game.
