Tool idea (and the search for someone who's able to make it)
So I have this idea for a sort of data explorer tool. I'm looking for someone who's able to extract the data and present it in a nifty tool that's easy-loading (kinda like FMGenie).
It doesn't even require a fancy GUI or something, just easy presentation of the data. No editing is actually involved just look-up function. I like checking out who's at which club etc. and I don't think I'm the only one
But that's not actually what this tool is about. It should be of help for the people who create graphics (faces, kits, logos) for the game. That's why I'm not sure where to post this but this seemed like the right place.
FMGenie's copy UID number to clipboard made everyone's life a lot easier and that's sort of how I came up with this idea. I'm rambling I think, lets present it more clearly:
- Program loads the data and presents nations, clubs, players and referees.
- They all should have the copy ID function to clipboard like in FMGenie. So somewhere it should show the ID number for the item (player, team, nation, ref) and when you click it it auto copies the ID to your clipboard.
- Search functions for all of the 'items'.
- In terms of presentation of the data I think it should be able to show players, refs, teams by nation. An option to list all the players without a club would also very welcome but not that important.
- One feature that would me very, very, very happy is to be able to see which players I already have an image for. I image it could be done by loading the xml files as they contain the ID numbers? If it matches something in the database it could show a little symbol or something? This feature would be very handy for people so they don't have to start up FM everytime to see if a player has a face in the game. Top of the requestlist as far as I'm concerned but I realise that it could be hard to pull off.
Seeing how much text I typed I realise that it's probably hard to do but it would really help the people who make graphics for the game. I also saw that I have not used the word please a single time so I'll make up for that just now!
Please, Please, Please
