My point is that this is futile because the things you need to do require responses in game, and every game is different.
I stand by what I said. If they move to a 4-2-4 or 4-4-2 with long arrows on the wingers I tend to put barrows on my wing backs and man-mark the opposition wingers. Usually this suffices, but sometimes you may need to go to the opposition instructions and close down the fullbacks as they tend to be a threat with deep crosses.
