Before we get started, admittedly and obviously, asking this question I must have FMGenie and use it, but please don't discourage from replying unless its 'you're a cheat'.
My question regarding free role is, what determines whether you use it or not? Excluding position, IE, wouldnt use freerole in the back floor (a libero could be of argument of course), but other than that.
If you were sure a player had a full rating in freerole, would you say that that particular player would definitely play better with it on? Anything regarding free role and its use is open for discussion!!
I use a free role if I play with a playmaker, because it allows the player to move across the pitch. These players usually have good stats in attributes such as decision, passing and flair etc.
If used properly it can be the difference in you're tactic. But there are consequences too if hes man marked you'll get less chances on goal.
