im the same trying 2 get the right tactic ive tried about 20 of them downloaded some of them but im gonna create my own ones i WONT give up until i get the right one may take time but ill get there

The problem i brought up is the needed time to be a winner in FM07,i think it is much harder from FM06 and it takes a lot of time more than the usual

Is it me or have people forgotten one big fact when talking about realism:

Football manager = Game

If it was uber realistic, then, the people who were good at it would be real life managers anyway.

exactly...you have to look at your tactics as giving instructions to the game, not what people do irl (use real life as atheory for your tactics) imo, the marking system is a great example of this. zonal works much better than man marking as the the pitch would be naturally split into little boxes for these thing s to work (look at the different positions you can move arrows to) this also works the same for closing down instructions etc. players will close down to different degrees in the different 'boxes' they have been set, depending on what instructions you give. i hope this makes sense, dont think i explained it fantastically well

I say it again:
1)FM07 is much harder than FM06 and it takes a lot of time to create a tactic that suits you
2)AI is cracking tactic much more faster than FM06
3)Bugs: worldclass players making stupid mistakes more often than maradona at his 50! the list with bugs like this is BIG. like 17 sh/on/t and 1 from the opposition result 0-1!!,just an example here
4)FM07 seems to punish attacking mentality (correct me if im wrong)
5)Training is problematic ( i wonder if anyone has seen a player with full potential attributes)
6)ITS MY OPINION for all the things i said

Dantheman surely the whole point of a Management sim is for it to be as realistic as possible.

While i think i can understand why S.I. chose to use the tactic thing they put in this version ie constant tweaking etc, i feel a little bit put out. It seems that S.I have singled out the people that chose to d/l a diablo or any other 'super tactic' and as a result have spoilt the enjoyment and the realism for the people that just did it their own way.

In all previous versions i made my own tactic and purchased the players i thought i needed to make it better. Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't and for me this was realistic. In real life Fergie brought the likes of Kleiberson and Djemba Djemba to Man Utd and sold a certain Mr Beckham. Fergie stuck to the 442 but it did not work because of the poor quality he added to the squad and the main supplier of goals for nearly every striker Beckham played with missing. See what i'm getting at V6 and before = realistic.

Carrying on with the Man Utd theme, in the 90's every team United played against knew beforehand that they would play 4-4-2 with two wingers. But because of the quality of the players hardly anyone could stop them.
Fast forward to the post Beckham era and United start playing with a 4-4-1-1 formation to accomadate Ruud resulting in the end of the most successful era in the clubs history. This season it's back to the good old days and Fergies best formation with quality players. Yet when he changes it for hard away games ie Arsenal and Celtic to name a couple. The team fall on their faces. This isn't fiction it's fact.

For me S.I have tried to thwart the super tactic generation that enjoyed taking lower league teams to the Champions League Final in ten seasons. The key word is enjoy. And for me i used to enjoy making my own tactic and then trying to find the quality to make it work. The present version does not reward success and makes the game frustrarting to the point where it is unenjoyable. If people want and enjoy useing someone elses 'super tactic' then why stop it. Personaly if i have to use a cheat in any computer game i find it less rewarding but thats just the way i am and i'm pretty sure a lot of other people feel the same.

For me and many other ppl that make their own way it's made the game less realistic and less enjoable as a result.
