Hi again well i have been messing about with fm07 tactics with celtic and have created a tactic that gives good possesion and plenty of shooting opportunities. The basics of the tactic is a 4-1-2-1-2.There is a home and away version. In general you need a good passing side that are attack minded.Good centre back with good composure so they dont crumble under pressure.Dont know if this will work with smaller teams though if any 1 tries feedback would be good.
so the basic team instructions are
home
men 14
cre 13
pas 6
tem 5
wid 13
cld 8
tw 4
dfl 10
away
men 10
cre 10
pas 10
tem 5
wid 10
cld 6
tw 10
dfl 9
the both tactics are available at http://www.fmdownloads.net/index.php?
just look for 4-1-2-1-2 v1 and away.
hope this works for you.
thanks for reading.
I'll try it. How were your results?? Obviously quite easy in the spl but how did you fare in europe?? And do your opponents score a lot, or is it tight?? Thank you, and is being tested.
This tactic is not europe based for my european tactic see other post.In SPL this tactic works a treat played 8 games using undefeated most games the shots at goal are 15+ possesion is 55-65%.Only thing i have noticed is i seem to give penalties away fairly easy this could be caused by the cb sitting in to deep. Will play more games using this tactic tonight. Will also use in europe and see what happens. Will report back later tonight with details.
Played my first game, a friendly against Northwood, me being Watford, and we won 4-1, them only having the one shot all game, but we had 20 shots only 4 on target! A bit appaling really! But chances were there.
Possession wise, 52% so nothing good there, especially against a very poor side, but will continue to see if the tactic needs to accomodate the players better.
Overall; Good amount of chances especially for slow tempo, poor finishing, good defensively, possession wasn't easily retained tbh.
2nd game played was against QPR, and yeah this definately isn't a possession tactic, at least for a low premiership team. Probably suited to the best of them. We only had 47% possession.
However maybe a diamond in disguise because we out played them and the deep defence means lots of shots from long range so with a poorer team like QPR, we could afford to let them take potshots.
