I play a 4-1-2-2-1 with an anchorman, 2 central midfield players and the two wingers pushed further up (AML/R) with a lone striker with "hold up ball".
The problem i'm having is scoring. I've found the defence to be increadibly solid (I play a medium defensive line with tight zonal marking). The full backs have got forward runs on medium and the anchorman is set to "makelele" instructions (i.e, short passes, no creativity, stays back, closes down anyone who comes near).
I can't seem to get any support to my striker. My wide players seem reluctant to get in the box as do either of my two central midfield players. I end up raining crosses into the box with little success.
Anyone got any ideas how to get more support to my striker either from the midfielders or the wingers??
it does look like 4-1-2-2-1 but it's actually 4-3-3,try what aston_martin has suggested and try using striker settings instead of target-man,a target-man is effective when playing two upfront, get your CM's to play through balls..should more or less diagnose the issue..also try putting foward runs on DM to mixed, don't worry he won't be caught out of position but he'll join in the attack if needed
