I experienced this already with FM 2006. A few games left, you are trying to win the premiership, and one or two of your players rally the troops before the last games. What happens is that although this rallying affects morale mostly positively, my team performance always, and I mean always, suffers from it. Same tactics, same team-talks don't seem to work anymore, or so it seems.

Is there anything one can do to negate this "rallying" or is this just constant bad luck?

Bad luck i think. Mybe it is something to do with the personality of the player who rallies the troops. ie. if its Kevin Nolan, then usually a good response, whereas if its El-Hadji Diouf, not such a good response.

In my experience only the most influential players do it, and as I said it affects morale positively (mostly), but on-the-pitch performance suffers. It is like many players start feeling the pressure and freeze. Maybe I should use "no pressure" in team-talks after these rallying events?
