It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

But it wouldn't surprise me if he did cheat, if he's from Yorkshire especially.

Plus as for the whole tactical genius bit. Yes Cleon does have good theory in FM, probably the best. But honestly all this theory spouted out is garbage, in FM in practice you can really only be successful in a few ways.

My feelings are similar to SOSeven's. I also have been trying for some time to get a decent and consistent set of tactics going, by using only the manual and official SI hints and tips guide. I have found it rather difficult and I have had some experience of coaching IRL.

I have assumed that most of us play the game "as is". Therefore, to read of Cleon's alleged methods of having much success is not vary pleasant, having, like so many others spent too much time searching for assistance and finding that it has all been a waste of time.

However, I still put faith in that Cleon will prevail and we shall not find any truth in the allegations made by bean feast. Kind regards to all.

I couldn't give a flying **** at a rolling doughnut if Cleon or anyone else did restart any and every match, I do know his tactical advice and that of wwfan and others here has helped me get a lot more out of FM07.

Cleon use to seriously warn me about putting a smiley on my post (quite recently). I've doing it in every forum ever since I found the internet and never been warned by anyone EVER until I sort of teased cleon when someone here accused him of power abuse, I put www.sortcleonoutsi.net Was not to harm in any way actually. Since then he started giving me these warnings. I agree it is annoying because sometime I multi post thanks to inability to edit. I thought he should understand that so I think the warnings were so stupid I just ignored them.

Warning a the cool sign? Abuse?? Not in any way or form as a mod should know. Anyway, forum politics should not be fueled and lets stick to tactics.

I must say I find it hard to believe how anyone can win the league with Sheff Utd in their first season with the current squad. This version of FM07 has almost got rid of the super tactic and is the most realistic simulation of the beautiful game. Therefore teams with better quality players will out perform other teams with lower quality of players most of the time, as in real life.

I challenge anyone to go Sheff Utd and win the premier league in the first season, it is unrealistic both in the game and in real life. If people can just pick up this game, follow some guides on tactics and win the league with the likes of Sheff Utd then the game is flawed. I'm not saying that a top 5 finish is not possible but to win the league and only to lose one league game all season as Cleon did seems a bit far fetched.

I have had my doubts as to whether it is possible to win the league with Sheff Utd as Cleon did. I've often thought whether restarting every game until a win was attained was the only way to do this.

I'd like to add Cleon has provided us all with some great tactical insight and changed the way a lot of us approach our tactics, and to this I'm very grateful. I have a lot of respect for the tactical knowledge he has provided.
