Okay "respectful" answer... I've never personally played as them, only against them, and I've thrashed them most times, occasional defeats but overall they were pummeled. Now wether or not that makes them under-rated I don't know, maybe it's exaggerated but lets face it in real life at the moment, most teams arent afraid of going to Anfield because they know they can nick a point, so in my opinon in the game theyr'e not under-rated, but perhaps the gap in class between them and Arsenal, Chelsea, United is exagerated.
How are they under-rated in the game? They are playing poorly IRL in the league and they play poorly in the game as well. They never seem to be able to beat the top 3 teams in the league and its the same in the game. They usually finish about 4th-6th in my games. Ocassionally they drop to 10th or somewhere around there. But the 4-6th finish is pretty much realistic they way they're going at the moment irl. Dont buy the arguement that they're under-rated. Further, the AI of the game is TERRIBLE. It really is pathetic and I hope that SI do something about it. The kind of signings you see most other AI teams make is pretty silly. Not to mention that Rafa is a rubbish manager. He would do so much better if he just decided on his best formation and stuck to it for the whole season.
Now, if you're playing AS Liverpool in the game, then it should be very easy. If you cant win with them, then its probably because you're not playing the game right. With Torres upfront on his own, thats atleast 35 goals for the season minimum. Crouch can be deadly too if played right. Make a couple of decent signings and its hard to not win atleast one or two cups with them tbh.
I really dont see how you can justify the "Liverpool is underrated in the game" remark...
there not underrated at all i think its respectful. Looking at them irl for the last decade or so they just havent been good enough! Not just saying this because im a united fan but its true they have a few good players, gerrard, torres, alonso, carragher but apart from that the rest of the team isnt up to much. I think liverpools position in the game is about right. At the min the team on merseyside is everton which is great imo its good to see mid table teams breaking through, i actually like evertons side more than liverpool's. Sorry if that offends anyone but its my honest opinion and im sure most would agree
i must say that i dont think their players are underrated but as a team they perform terribly in the 2 games that i have started in the premier league they have finished 15th first seaon then like 11th then in the next game im in the 3rd seaon and their highest finishing position is about 9th
